This series of work, in which I create a composition on paper with fabric and thread, is inspired by the tradition of sewing quilt blocks. I am deeply moved by the beauty of the quilts in my home made by both my grandmother and great grandmother. These quilts, through daily use are starting to fade. This has inspired me to make a series of work in which a composition similar to a quilt block will be preserved without the fading that comes through daily use.
